The ImpactHD app is a large project, and a world first. We anticipate it will take at least 3 years for the app to be complete, and as such we have broken the process into phases.
“Phases” is a project management term that we use to break the app into manageable development phases. We do this to focus our funding and staffing resources.
Phase 1 (stages 1A and 1B) is designed for at-risk, pre-symptomatic to mild symptomatic individuals, families and careers.
- Phase 1 of the app development is the most complex as it includes the development of app’s infrastructure. We have broken this into two stages – 1A and 1B.
- On 25 May 2018 we launched stage 1A for beta testing.
Stage 1A includes the development of the app’s infrastructure – the nuts and bolts. The development of content (exercises and cognitive games) in stage 1A was limited to key exercises – 30 in total, split between home and gym based programs. In stage 1B we will integrate new cognitive content, to be completed by the user at the conclusion of the exercise program. We will also implement a social engagement function and add new exercise content.
Phase 2 will have content (exercises and cognitive) for moderate symptomatic individuals.
We are already a world first and the app will continue to push boundaries as we develop future phases. We are currently seeking funding to complete stage 1B and phase 2 concurrently.
Once these phases have been completed, there’s a world of possibility for future options.
Stay tuned for updates.
